Hi Joe –
I linked to your blog through your wife’s blog… and I don’t remember how I found hers. Behold, the glories of the Internet!
My husband and I are with you (and the author of the linked article) 100%. We are pulling for Vick, even though we never cared for him as a Falcon. (We’re New Orleans natives and I’m sure you can guess where our allegiance lies!)
While we like dogs as much as the next person, fighting dogs – as horrendous as that is – hardly stacks up to the behavioral status quo among star athletes or in our culture at large. It annoys us to no end that people were/are up in arms over this yet shed nary a tear for the millions… yes MILLIONS… of babies aborted in the name of choice. It confounds me.

Hi Jennifer,
I am glad you found us. Naturally I think you are right on as well, particularly with the degrees of one’s behavior and especially on your comments regarding abortion. Though we all should agree that fighting dogs is wrong, I believe it pales in comparison to abortion. That’s also why I think Vick paid plenty for his mistake.
